Peter Vogel, VMD, DACVS graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of
Veterinary Medicine in 1990. He completed a Small Animal Surgical internship at the California Animal Hospital and a Small Animal Surgical residency at the University of California, Davis. Practicing in Southern California for over 27 years, Dr. Vogel has been the co-medical director, and founder/senior partner of hospitals located in Fountain Valley, CA and Irvine, CA. And currently, the founder of the “Veterinarian owned, Pet approved,” Animal Orthopedic Center located in Anaheim, CA. Dr. Vogel is the past President of the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association and is currently a Governor for the California Veterinary Medical Association, representing Los Angeles and Orange County, CA. He also is a recipient of the Dan Mahan Award for Excellence in Veterinary Medicine. As a board-certified veterinary surgeon, and a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, Dr. Vogel has almost 30 years of experience in clinical practice, as well as teaching veterinary students and training interns and residents. He lectures extensively in Southern California, as well as elsewhere in the US and has spoken at several world veterinary conferences in China, South Korea, and Mexico.
